Employer Costs

If you have a freelancer on board you only have to pay for the hourly rate. But the moment you hire someone or if you will use e.g. TOSS to hire someone for you, you will be confronted with employee costs. These consist of additional costs such as social premiums, payroll fees and insurances.

Freelancer

You have an option to work with someone who is a so-called ‘ZZP’, in other words freelancer. This person is self-employed and usually charges you an hourly rate. All other costs are with the freelancer. It might be an easy solution for you but a lot of additional rules will apply not only to the freelancer but also to the relationship you have with the freelancer.

TOSS Payroll solution

Maybe you do not have the required IND sponsorship to hire this specific knowledge migrant or you are not (yet) registered in the Netherlands and need to have someone to start working for you as soon as possible.

We at TOSS offer you the Payroll solution that fits you best. With our payroll services we can employ the expat or contractor. We as the legal employer will be responsible for additional costs like the social premiums and tax payments to the government.

Every month you will receive our invoice which includes all mandatory payments for this worker like the social premiums and our fee. Depending on the payroll construction we could also arrange the pension for the employee.

TOSS salary service solution

TOSS can handle all administrative obligations for the employees and authorities in your name with our salary administration services. Even the payments can be done by us. If, for example, you hire employees directly from your BV, you as the employer will be responsible for all costs and risks for this employee. You need to set up your salary administration for this employee which includes the payslips and wage tax overviews. All costs will be charged to your BV by the Tax Authorities.

In addition, to cover all risks during the employment, it is advisable to arrange different employee insurances.

Additional costs

Additional cost like housing, or applying for a residence permit will usually be charged separately to you. Make sure you have all these elements of employer costs in an overview to make a correct decision to hire or not to hire someone.
